Haemorrhoid Ointment

The treatment with LIVSANE Haemorrhoid Ointment should begin as soon as the first symptoms appear. It is important to clean the affected skin area thoroughly to reduce the risk of infections. You should perform the cleaning with lukewarm water. Afterwards, a thin layer of ointment is applied to the dry anal area. This should be done at least 3x daily. For hygienic reasons the accompanying applicator should be used for applying the ointment. For this the applicator is screwed onto the tube and it is led to the anus. Then you carefully press the tube until the desired quantity of ointment is applied to the affected area. As an alternative to the applicator a finger can be used if it has been cleaned thoroughly beforehand. The applicator should be cleaned after applying the ointment. For this it is held under warm water until there are no residuals of the ointment visible on the applicator. If you applied the ointment using your finger, please make sure that you wash your hands carefully. It is recommended to apply the ointment around the cleaned anus before and after every defecation. A regular and proper application is a decisive factor in mitigating the complaints and symptoms. Self-treatment for more than 4 weeks should only be performed after consulting a doctor. In case of acute symptoms you should continue the treatment with haemorrhoid ointment for additional 5 days after the complete disappearance of symptoms in order to gain lasting relief of discomforts.  

WARNINGS:  Do not use the haemorrhoid ointment in case of hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients. The applicator is only suitable for external usage in the anal area and may only be applied by one person. Blood in stool respectively bleeding from the anus area always requires professional medical examination. There are no specific precautions necessary when the ointment is used according to the intended use. Please inform your doctor or pharmacist about existing diseases and the use of medicinal products or medical devices. This also applies to products that do not need any prescription. If the complaints do not improve or even worsen after one week, you should see your doctor.
