Cold/ Hot Compresses

Formulation composed of water, coolant, thickening agent, preservative, neutralizing agent and food colorant. The gel is biodegradable. No volatile organic compounds.

Cold application: Cool the compress for 2 hours in the cooling or freezer compartment of your refrigerator (max. -18°C) prior to use. The compress may be kept in the freezer after use, so that it will always be ready when needed. 

Hot application: Place the compress in hot water (up to 80°C) for about 4 minutes or heat up in a microwave oven (2 minutes at 280 W). Keep a constant eye on the compress while heating it. Heating may be prolonged in intervals of 10 seconds. Overheating might destroy the compress. After heating the compress, handle with care and touch with a towel to protect yourself from skin burns. Knead the compress thoroughly after each heating process to ensure even heat distribution. 

Wrap a towel or similar around the compress and place onto your skin as needed.

The gel is biodegradable. Irritations of the skin or mucosa due to contact with the gel included in the compress haven’t been observed. If a compress is damaged, the gel comes in direct contact with the user and irritations or allergic reactions occur as an effect of this, it is recommended to consult a doctor. Only for external application. Damaged compresses should not be used again. They can be disposed of in normal household waste.

The compresses should be stored at room temperature, protected from direct sunlight.
